We fix small dents envoy_before

If you've owned your vehicle for more than a week, chances are it's already had a run in with an errant shopping cart, the handle bar of your child's bike, or you've come back to the parking lot only to discover that you've been the victim of a careless door opening.   Until recently, the only way to repair this damage was through the inconvenience and expense of a body shop.  Those days are over!  Now you, the retail customer, can have access to the specialized services that dealerships have been enjoying for years.  Paintless dent repair not only maintains your original factory paint, it costs dramatically less than traditional methods and can be completed in your driveway or your parking lot at work.  How's that for convenience ?

What is Paintless Dent Repair?

Paintless dent repair or PDR is the highly skilled craft of removing door dings , minor dents and hail damage without having to sand, fill and refinish the panel.  This technique maintains the integrity of your car's original factory finish, and costs a whole lot less than a body shop.

How does it work?

envoy_after2The process requires the careful manipulation of custom-crafted tools by trained technicians. The tool is fitted in between the outer panel of the car and the interior of the car. For example, in doors, the technician will slide the tool in through the window opening at the top of the door or an electrical portal on the side of the door. The tip of the tool is then maneuvered until it is directly behind the dent. Using leverage, a skilled technician is able to make gentle pushes (sometimes 100 or more), directly on the back of the dent which slowly massages out the dent and restores the panel back to its original condition. It is an amazing process! This technique is made possible, in part, because of the flexibility of the paint on modern cars (since 1980) and also because of the invention of dent reading equipment which allows the technician to see, during the repair process, a very critical level of detail that is not detectable with the naked eye. In many cases a door dent can be repaired in under 10 minutes, but make no mistake, the precision required to make this repair has taken the technician an awful lot of time and practice to develop.

Cost

The savings you'll reap using this method of repair will enable you to make PDR a regular part or your vehicle maintenance. Repairs start at $100 and can range up to $250 depending on the number and level of complexity of the dents on your car.
